Greenwood Call Center in Nova Scotia Opens

Acrobat Research has opened a call center in the Greenwood Mall.  This outbound call center currently operates 57 stations with another 30 seats planned for the future.  As the name would suggest, Acrobat Research, handles research on a variety of topics including market research, demographic research, political research, and a variety of other research topics.

Manager Kristie Harris says, “Some are looking for data on customer service experiences, for political polling information or to gauge product or brand awareness. In many cases, clients want to know if their marketing strategies are working.  While the centre makes no sales-type calls, Harris says the employees still have to combat the ‘call centre stereotype’.”

That stereotype is all to familiar to call center agents making outbound calls in any type of call center.  Whether you’re selling a product or gathering reserach, people don’t always like to hear your voice when you call.  Just part of the business I guess.
